A chicken dish that I taught John to make. Chicken, canned tomatoes, garlic, white wine, onion and other vegies with rice. There was only one problem when he cooked it tonight. He forgot the garlic, so it tasted a bit bland.

Cauliflower Fennel soup.......that sounds like something to experiment with.....

:)

Was that a cream soup?

Yes. Basically I cooked a head of cauliflower, russet potatoes, onion, celery, and two fennel bulbs in stock. When tender I used my immersion blender but left it kind of lumpy. Then added more stock and half and half, salt and white pepper. So yummy.

Tonight after launching a glass of red wine all over my family room. . . on the wool rugs, a chair, my sweater, etc. I clogged my drain with fennel so my husband had to take the drain apart.

Following that we sat down and ate the cauliflower fennel soup I had made. It is/was quite delicious.

I had more red wine. Imagine that.

After all that, the glass of wine probably did you some good.

I have no 'plan' for dinner yet. I'm kind of hoping my husband wants to go out to eat. If not, I'll let you know plan b.

Chicken, rice and broccoli casserole. I love this meal. It is one of my all time favorites.

Woof!

Didn't have to cook...the Boy Scouts awards banquet was tonight. They had beef tips and rice, green beans and some big, fat, yeast rolls.....oh, and cake - I left that alone....

We are having chili. We were going to have minute steaks but someone changed the menu.

I was going to cook schnitzel with noodles. But we decided to get salads and baked potatoes from Wendy's instead.

We did go out to eat last night. Went to Outback and I had sirloin and shrimp with mixed veggies.

Tonight I made a 'concoction' with sliced russet potatoes, sauted onions and portobella mushrooms, pork loin and a cream soup. It is baking while I check out CW. And later we are going to FINALLY watch Mama Mia.
