Last night I had an Anhuian pork stir fry and a steamed yam with honey.
I haven't eaten yet tonight but it'll be another Michelina light entre.

Grilled prawns with jalapeno lime sauce. Can you tell they are my favorite? Plus we had broccoli from our garden.

Well Moody, I probably could - you are the age of my kids . One will turn 34 later this year, and the other one will be 32. Of course, I'm the one that only had hot dogs last night, so you might want to wait for a better offer, lol.

Had chips & scampi. The scampi wasn't too hot but the chips were fantastic

About a month ago, my son-in-law gave me a few bottles of Louisiana Gem Chicken Wing Sauce. A few nights later, I was trying to think of something simple to make for dinner, and I just threw some chicken drumsticks in the crock pot, covered them with that Wing Sauce and let them cook away all day.

They were absolutely delicious and everyone raved about them...who knew?

So, by special request, we are having that again tonight with rice and a green salad.

P.S. I used the left over chicken to make soft tacos another night and they were really good too.

Last night we had leftover chili and it was just as good as the first time. I had mine over half of a baked potato with cheese plus a salad with homemade vinaigrette dressing. Yummy... Tonight we'll either have grilled pork chops with veggies or lentil soup with rice.

Kat, that sounds delicious. Was it very spicy? I might have to try and find that sauce. Do you know which stores carry it?

Homemade peppercorn burgers on the grill

I'll probably have some more sweet potato, and hubby will have fries.

It was spicy, but not too spicy. I think he told me someone gave it to him, but I'll ask him. It's fun when you try something, not expecting much, and it turns out to be delicious!!!

You're welcome to eat at our table any time, mr themoodyexperience. I love good food so am very motivated to cook---especially for an appreciative appetite. And it sounds like you are a candidate.

Now Alabama and Wisconsin would make for a hike but you'd have a fabulous appetite upon arrival. Come on over. We could even discuss The Shack around the dinner table. Or better yet, just talk about Jesus.

Tonight is our Bible study night so I'm not as motivated. Pulling some brats out of the freezer. Who knows what else I'll come up with.

Well, let's take a look at the fridge. Yep this person is trying to not gain weight and so she will choose that, yes the fresh celery cut up in cold water with some red pepper and some dressing. Yum Ok now for a tasty filler er upper. Hmmm Tomato and Basil rice cakes yes and an apple, nicely cut in bite sized pieces. But don't forget some cheese, her favorite food on the earth she figures and a yummy chocolate pudding for dessert.

Gotta love variety!

I don't know, based on some of the meals you talk about on here, a hike to Wisconsin wouldn't sound half bad. What I eat is like cardboard compared to what you type. It's all catfish, stale seafood, blazingly unspectacular steaks and second rate BBQ around here. Alabama is definitely not a foodie state.

That sounds perfect. I can handle a little spice but not too much. I'll keep checking in here so if you find out let me know or you can pm me if you like.

We decided to do the lentil soup tonight and it's turned out very well. We'll have it with rice and/or cornbread muffins. I love meals like this 'cause it's cheap, easy, healthy, and tasty.

I asked him this morning and he said he actually was in a shopping mall that had a...wait for it...

Big Lots and a 99 Cent Store!

He saw it in both places, so he decided to buy some, but can't remember which store it was that he actually bought it.

When I was searching on the web for it for you, I saw that Chowhound.com mentioned this sauce in an article, "Create Something Great out of 99 Cent Store's Food."

It's funny because he didn't want to tell me where he bought it at first because I have a thing about buying food at those kinds of stores.

LOL I tend to be that way too but I'll be going down to the local $ store to see if I can find this sauce. If they don't have it maybe I can find it at Kroger. My husband loves hot wings so he should really enjoy this recipe.

Thanks Kat!

You are more than welcome...hope you are able to find it. If not, I'd be happy to mail you some.

Tonight we are having Cuban Sandwiches made on the panini maker with fruit salad.

Nobody's eating again. . .

Tonight we're having hamburgers on the grill with fresh broccoli and sugar snap peas from the garden and fresh fruit salad. Love summer and fresh produce. (Can ya tell I'm from Wisconsin?)

I desperately need to add more veggies to my diet. I buy them, then they sit in the fridge and rot because I just don't get around to processing them. Which reminds me - I have two bunches of celery to toss.

Tonight was a chicken tortilla casserole. I was looking for ways to utilize corn tortillas and found THIS. (I made a half batch when Hubby was not home for supper, and I liked it. I thought he might be OK with it, too, so I made it tonight with half the chiles and cutting up the tortillas into smaller pieces. He said it reminded him of chicken noodle soup with a lot of crackers in it - which is how he eats his soup - but creamier.)

Yesterday was hamburgers on the grill.

I'm glad we're eating, Tricia! Wonder why everyone else is fasting?

Stove top Chili....The 16 hour boil kind....

Breaking out the 15 gallon pot, flat plate, and the freezer containers.

Funny how for the price of going out to eat twice, I can cook chili for 6-7 weeks.

I will post a recipe should anyone want it lol.

Not fasting here, but haven't really had anything interesting for dinner .

Tonight is some of the best burgers I have ever made (friends are coming over tonight & I made and froze a bunch last Sunday; DS2 and I had a couple of the "extras" that evening). Basically I used a meatloaf recipe and just made it into burgers! Ritz crackers for "filling", cheddar cheese, onion, ketchup, a little steak sauce and a pkg of onion soup mix - yummy and moist. Chips, Broccoli salad and key lime cheesecake will finish it off.

He got drunk on vodka! I didn't want to waste scotch or rum while experimenting.

Well that's alright then.

I had quiche. Pears in raspberry jello for dessert.

I'm going out with the girls. . . although not to a 'to die for' place.

So my husband will be on his own with whatever he finds.

I am on vacation this week. My husband is working out of town this week, so I met him and am staying with him. So no cooking. I just finished a crab salad. I am trying to eat salads for lunch, so I brought along some a salad from my fridge, a bag of romain lettuce that I cut up and bagged and some canned crab. Last night I had crab cakes at "The Three Crabs" restaurant, which is on Puget Sound in the Penninsula.
