James 4:6-8 (NIV)

Resisting the devil has always been a problem of mine. I have forgotten many, MANY times to rebuke him in Jesus' name, knowing he will flee and leave me be for that time being. Hence why I have been my own worst enemy then. Whatever emotional trial I was going through, the self doubt and beating myself up for every little mistake, would have been dealt with immediately had I remember God's words. This is something that I am still working on and getting better at.

And I did.
On a serious note, that does speak to me at times. Just about the time I think I have things all together with no issues, God lets me know that I need to be silent and depend on Him.

While I don't doubt the validity of Christ's words here ........... I don't think I'm gonna; raise people from the dead, make the lame walk, give sight to the blind, make mutes talk, deaf people hear, cure diseases, feed 5k people w/ two fish and a loaf of bread, etc - today, tomorrow, whenever.
Although it would be nice though! lol

I believe Jesus meant this literally. Why isn't it happening today? Well it certainly isn't His decision.
