This verse is one of my faults at times, like a lot of other people!
It kinda (?) goes with what Jesus says about keeping our answers yes or no types, and anything else is from the evil one.
In other words - We should only speak when we are saying something positive/uplifting to others - regardless if they believe in God, or not. And not to make offending remarks/comments, gossip, etc.

One of the many verse to either confess that Christ is who he says he is - or to deny his divinity/person altogether!

1 Praise the Lord.
